Fire in the Sky – Wallpaper Download [34]

Blessed New Year Folks! Well, sort of.

You must be tired of hearing that line by now, especially since it’s more than a week past due date, but I just had to wish you one.

Let’s pick up from where we left off last month with the free wallpapers with a signature image of fireworks going off over the iconic KICC.

I’ve never shot fireworks before so;

  1. I had to rely on my experience, timing and patience to pull this one off.

  2. I had to try and create a different experience from a location that was popular with many residents of Nairobi.

Thankfully, I was able to pull of a Half-Life Composition, something I’d been looking forward to since I started the series. The result was the image below.

Transition from 2017 to 2018, captured in a single image

So, off that comes our first set of wallpapers.

Done? Good.

I also challenge you to be consistent in the little [or big] things you do especially in an art form that you are into. Consistency is what morphs into discipline and that discipline generates the so-called growth. In simpler terms, start something and stay the course. It’s the only way you’ll get to enjoy the fruits of what you’re working so hard toward.

In 2017, I did what I call Project 52 – a personal quest to shoot (and edit) a series of themed images every week of the year. I was able to not only finish but finish with a bang. I can tell for sure, that that’s the best decision I have made in my craft to date.

I am already in Week 2 of the 2018 edition and if you’d like to take up the challenge with me, hit me up. We can work out something – assignments, reviews … etc. The more the merrier.

I will do a series of posts on the 2017 Project 52, just so you can see what it was all about and how I pulled it off, sometimes barely.

I wish you an unforgettable 2018.
